GREECE - HalkiJust a few miles west of Rhodes lies the wonderful island of Halki. The island is only 28sq.km and forms a municipality in the Dodecanese archipelago. With only one village, a couple of roads, a handful of cars and no disco's - it makes a tranquil heaven in vast contrast to neighbouring Rhodes. The island's primary industry is tourism, although fishing is also substantial. There is virtually no natural water supply on the island and rainfall is collected in large cisterns. Drinking water is brought in from Rhodes and can be sparse during high season. This gallery is from May 2012.Visit the album: http://www.brandsborg.com/GREECE%20-%20Halki/
